Editorial policy and independence

Technical claims should identify their source, scope and limitations. A manufacturer’s statement is attributed as such; it is not automatically independent verification. A standard’s catalog listing does not establish that a particular product or installation complies with it.

We distinguish structural, protective and sealing functions; gravity and pressure applications; and material qualification from installed performance. Sources and standards are included where relevant, with unresolved questions retained for editorial disposition before release.

Editorial acceptance is not an engineering approval. We do not invent reviewer identities, certifications, project results or endorsements. Any named technical-review statement must describe a real review and its scope.
